| Most wanted Pre-War aircraft I'm just throwing this out there, but there seems to be a gap folks want. So post your wish lists / pics here. Here is one of many that I'd like. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Most wanted Pre-War aircraft Just from the top of my head, early models I-16, I-15, CR-32, Ki-27. Pretty much anything from the Spanish Civil War, Sino-Japanese war, and Khalkin Gol will do for me. | |||||||||||||

Regrettably, I don't have a colour shot of my fave, so this will just have to do. It is a Y1B-17. For a pre-war version of the B-17, this has to be it in my eyes. I would go NUTTZ-ier fro this one!!! Also, with minor mods, it can accommodate quite a lot of other variants of the early era, specifically the B-17C (or Boeing Model 299 -- just add twin strut u/c). Oh yes -- POLISHED PLEASE! ![]() (Photo from: "Flying Fortress" by E. Jablonski 1965 -- Page 12) Sweet, eh? Gotta have a 'heavy' in your collection. This would have to be it! What style -- what design!! JPN

| Re: Most wanted Pre-War aircraft
I'm right there with ya', Shawn. The Curtiss P-6E Hawk in 1:48 or 1:32 is my most wished for model. I would prefer a 17th PS "Snow Owl" livery, but I will take any P-6E livery. Something about that aircraft really strikes me, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I believe it to be the most beautiful bi-plane ever built.
