Most wanted Pre-War aircraft

I'm just throwing this out there, but there seems to be a gap folks want. So post your wish lists / pics here. Here is one of many that I'd like.

Re: Most wanted Pre-War aircraft

Just from the top of my head, early models I-16, I-15, CR-32, Ki-27. Pretty much anything from the Spanish Civil War, Sino-Japanese war, and Khalkin Gol will do for me.

Re: Most wanted Pre-War aircraft

The Heinkel He 51 would be one fairly high up on my list. Have to dig up some pictures of it latter.

Regrettably, I don't have a colour shot of my fave, so this will just have to do. It is a Y1B-17. For a pre-war version of the B-17, this has to be it in my eyes. I would go NUTTZ-ier fro this one!!! Also, with minor mods, it can accommodate quite a lot of other variants of the early era, specifically the B-17C (or Boeing Model 299 -- just add twin strut u/c). Oh yes -- POLISHED PLEASE!

Sweet, eh? Gotta have a 'heavy' in your collection. This would have to be it! What style -- what design!!

Re: Most wanted Pre-War aircraft

I've said it before and I'll say it again: inter-war racers!

Like these Schneider Trophy winners:

MC.72

Supermarine S.6B

A-yep.

Nrrrm! Whoosh! Rat-tat-tat!

Re: Most wanted Pre-War aircraft

I have a 1/72nd Williams Brothers. kit of this, but sure would like one in diecast. Martin B-10 would make for a great pre war Army Air Corps bomber.

I'm right there with ya', Shawn. The Curtiss P-6E Hawk in 1:48 or 1:32 is my most wished for model. I would prefer a 17th PS "Snow Owl" livery, but I will take any P-6E livery. Something about that aircraft really strikes me, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I believe it to be the most beautiful bi-plane ever built.
