Re: Snow

Looks nice to me! Reminds where I grew up in Northern B.C.! Crisp and cold and the snow squeaked under foot.

The snow squeaks under foot and your nostrils stick together...

Re: Snow

Snow...Well if i'm lucky we will get snow once every 4yrs here in Calif and that is less then a foot. We are about 500ft above sea level..
Kinda sad really because during Christmas time we never get any snow...About 2 days after Chirstmas in 2003 we got over a foot for the first time in years.

TuT TUt you lazy little critter.
Sitting polishing your Hindenburg does not count as exercise.

You gotta keep fit through the winter months, I have just returned after taking the dogs for a long hike through the forest.
Its minus 2 here and gray skies but the dogs have to be exercised and so do I.
Tramp the black and white Collie just loves to chase sticks so I spend most of the time throwing sticks all over the place so it keeps me warm, apart from my feet, I always have cold feet it seems.
BTW the forest is full of illegal immigrants in the form of grey Squirrels. People used to shoot them but every time one was shot another 50 came to funeral so people gave up and admitted defeat, now we are over run with the little pests.

Old Bess the black and tan Collie is not so good, she had a sort of doggy stroke a few months back and never fully recovered. At the time it was a mad rush to get her to the Vets, I thought we were going to lose the old girl but she rallied around after a couple of days. The stroke has left her with balance problems, she walks around with her head on one side and every now and again she falls over, very sad to see but she gets about and never stops wagging her tail.
That darn vet must never stop wagging his tail, crikey does he know how to charge!!!!

It cost nealy $1000 in bills to get Old Bess fixed up, thats a lot of diecast!
But the old girl is such a good pal and all she ever asks for anything in return so I dont care what it costs to keep her going.
The main thing thing is that she still has a good quality of life and still manages to keep the other dogs in order.
Its a funny thing to see, the other dogs are bigger and stronger and could chew her into little bits if they wanted, yet somehow the old girl commands their respect and instant obedience.

Well its time to log off and go and feed the little devils, they should have wound down by now after their walk.
I think a little hot gravy on their meat and biscuits will be good tonight , it will warm them up.
I found some low salt gravy and they love it when the weather is really cold.

I wonder where the piccies of me and the dogs out in the snow have got to, i shall see if I can find them and post .

God Bless America.
