Smile Waiting for Santa - 2008

I’m not much for making up wish lists; However, Ara 1’s Vought OS2U “Kingfisher” entry for an important aircraft that should be produced by a first-class manufacturer, e.g., Hobby Master, Gemini, Century Wings, etc got me reaching for my reference books and here’s what I’ve created for Santa Claus to deliver in 2008.
Interwar period:Boeing F4B/P-12: Boeing P-26 (Peashooter); Curtiss P-6E Hawk; Curtiss BF2C “Goshawk”; Curtiss SBC Helldiver; Curtiss P-36; Douglas TBD Devastator; Grumman JRF Goose; Grumman J2F Duck; Grumman F3F; Ryab PT-16; Seversky P-35A; Vought SB2U Vindicator; fficeffice" />>>
World War II: Bell P-59 Airacomet; Bell P-63 Kingcobra; Curtiss SB2C Helldver; Douglas A-20 Havoc; Grumman F7F Tigercat; Lockheed A-28 Hudson; Northrop P-61 Black Widow. >>

>>
There are many Postwar and Modern Jets to add to my wish list, but that’s for another day.

I will second that.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

I like that you put the Vought SB2U Vindicator on your list. I can think of two more that might qualify for you interwar period list and that would be the Republic P-43 Lance and the Martin B-10(Douglas B-18 Bolo would qualify too, but it is way to ugly). Until recently I always thought the Martin B-10 was one of those aircraft that never saw combat, but found out the Dutch put it to use as a bomber during early stages of the war in the Pacific.

Re: Waiting for Santa - 2008

If I were to put out a wish for next year it would probably look something like this (This would be my within the realm of possibility wish list, real wish list would be way to long.)

Carousel
P-40 in pre war paint scheme.

Hobby Master
Brewster Buffalo in Finish paint scheme
Polikarpov I-16 (Would be happy with any of its paint schemes)
Macchi Mc 202 (Sand and spinach paint scheme would be great)
Have to admit I would really like an Mc 200, but that would be on my less than realistic list.

Corgi
Bristol Blenheim IV (In North African Free French markings,,, ah back to the days of the old Airfix kits.).
Also would like the Bristol Blenheim Mk. I, but again that would be on the less than realistic list.

Fairly realistic list, but still would like a whole bunch more Fiat G50, Fiat Cr 42, PZL 11C, Fokker D.XXI and the list goes on.

Thumbs up Re: Waiting for Santa - 2008

OK, here is my diecast 'Wish List" that will start to be fulfilled in the very early weeks of 2008. All Corgi, all 1:72, all RAF(surprised?):
-- VICKERS WELLINGTON MK.IA - "NO. 9 SQ." N2873:WS-B
-- WESTLAND LYSANDER MKIIIA (Spy Taxi)
-- Gibson Mossie
-- 'Dinner Raid' Hawker Typhoon
-- JEJ Spitfire IX
-- 'Friday the 13th' Halifax Mk III
That not only is my wish list but it is my immediate 2008 buying list! This will get my first 3 'rotational themes' off to a solid start.

I understand she has already done the deed! I'll let you know all about what comes of it when I return from Sudbury between Christmas & New Years.
