Re: Wright Field 1941 pic!!!!

Back in the way back machine, 1989 to be specific. I went to the Madera Air Show and saw my first ever Douglas B-23 Dragon. Fellow who flew it was nice and gave me a look at its insides. Sad thing is, I saw it up for auction on eBay this year. It still looked in pretty good shape, but I think I remember description stating it would take a little over $100,000 to get it flying again. At least I saw it fly once. Here is my current favorite pre war bird in my collection.

I think this may have to be my next purchase. It would look great sitting with my Buffalos and make for a sharp looking pre war addition.

Bought this at my local store last week. Love the Red Rippers. Another fine model from Easy Models.

Re: Wright Field 1941 pic!!!!

The ultra bright P-38 is another story, but I'm sure Corgi could pull that off too.

Corgi will probably made a all "GOLD" version in 2008 for their collectors club. It will go nicely next to the Gold P-51 that ole Skunky has.

I really like the pre-war SBD and Wildcat, just prefer them in the 1/72nd range.

Re: Wright Field 1941 pic!!!!

I think that this would make a great set of diecast.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Isn't the Wildcat in the picture from Carousel 1 in 1/48?
