Thumbs up Re: Who would go see Led Zeppelin if they decide to tour?

I think the best concert I ever remember (I used to be a real boozer in my earlier days!) was The Chameleons at MilkWeg in Amsterdam, 1983. Wow! Mark Burgess was in TOP form that night.

Toronto Maple Leafs?? Why.

Re: Who would go see Led Zeppelin if they decide to tour?

so we have (at least) TWO 'RUSH' advocates here

Might as well drop me in this bucket as well - RUSH fan for 25+ years!!!

I hate to admit it, but you couldn't pay me enough money to go see Led Zep today. Didn't like them then... still don't like them now. No offense to anyone that does though - just never cared for their music style...!

Dude, if you were at the Milky Way in Amsterdam, you weren't boozing! You must have been Smokin' Skunky.....

Melkweg
Lijnbaansgracht 234 (531 81 81).
Housed in a former dairy, the Melkweg (Milky Way) is Amsterdam's biggest multi-functional entertainment venue, and offers music, drama, movies, a weekend disco, a bar and a restaurant.
The programming includes big(ger) international acts as well as local talent. In recent years a second concert hall was added, so that the Melkweg is able to host double feature nights. The hippies of yesteryear may have gone but every november the Melkweg still hosts the Cannabis Cup music events.
Dance events (Dance Arena) are held during the weekend.
Times & admission vary, see agenda, compulsory membership €2 per month.

Sounds like rush and tank nut have made a love connection...and maybe Home Church (Hornchurch?) is the rival for rush's affections in this very bizarre love triangle.....

Sorry, Home Church.....

Re: Who would go see Led Zeppelin if they decide to tour?

Sure, I'd go to see Led Zep if they came here. I'd just go for the buzz.

I'd rather ol' Frank Zappa was still with us, though, and I could go see him. One of the times I saw him in Glasgow was at the ( sadly, now defunct and now a shopping mall ) Glasgow Apollo. That night the balcony was jumping about a foot in the air as the audience went crazy and there was acute danger of collapse.

LZ, ? Yes, I remember student days when we would spend our nights........hmmmm.....better not go there.

Frankly, I was most surprised by tank nut's unseemly and territorial outburst directed at Home Church.

I guess Homy's free-wheeling, devil-may-care, hit the road on two wheels persona is a front ... a cover, if you will, for his frequent jaunts down to SoHo for the pride parades.....

No, no. We need to stay the course and everything will turn out just wine and roses.
