Um, who exactly is Led Zeppelin?

Cavtanker is waiting for the Spice Girls reunion tour to hit his town......

Even a dinosaur like me appreciate the Spice Girls!

If LZ comes to my town, I'd definitely go and see them! Rock on!!!

I was born a few months before Reagan took office. Thus, I was born during the Carter era.

And despite daily bathing, I cannot cleanse my body of the dirty feeling regarding that terrible fact.

Re: Who would go see Led Zeppelin if they decide to tour?

Yeah, they're up there. But unlike The Who, people still wanna see these guys!

Now just hold on there a daggone minute Rush...

I saw The Who last year... they were incredibly powerful live. I saw Page/Plant several years ago, and while lively, Jimmy CANNOT hold a candle to Pete's onstage persona. By the way... the place was packed for The Who. There are still plenty of people who are interested in The Who. Oh yea, they also have new, fresh, original music to play on stage. Can I sit through one more dreadful performance of "Black Dog", "Kashmir", or "Whole Lotta Love?" I think not!

I have seen lots of bands in my time. The best shows: U2, The Who. Sorry, Rush comes a distant third (and I have seen them four times).

In response to the original question, would I go see the mighty Zep live? Well, they ain't so mighty anymore. I would be much more interested in seeing Plant with Alison Krauss. I never thought I would say that twenty years ago.

No fears -- it just means you will live longer to see the music of our society degrade even further!!! (Hey -- my wife doesn't call me the 'eternal optimist' for nothing!! )

You know, I've always wondered if he is grateful for being dead...

Re: Who would go see Led Zeppelin if they decide to tour?

Considering the success of their London concert the other night, and plans for a show in New York, it looks more and more likely that there may be a full fledged Led Zep tour in the near future. How many of you would go see them?

I probably would if they came to my neck of the woods for pure nostalgia ... I was a major fan in the 80's and still listen to 'em. I am cracking about over all the school kids wearing Zep shirts/backpacks, etc.... 70's rock bands stuff in general. The other day I say an 8-9 year old girl going to school with a Doors backpack... things do come full circle it seems.

I'll give Jimmy Page credit for one thing- at least he quit dying his hair!
BTW, I heard Pete Townsend and Pee Wee Herman exchange emails daily...
