Re: A tale of two diecasts (C1 Wildcat & EI P-51B)

Thanks Ara 1 for the pictures.

I am missing a F4F in my WWII 1:48 collection, but I can not make up my mind as to whether I should go for the A/FM one of the C1 model.
You seem to be happy with your C1, would you reccommend it ?

Thumbs up Re: A tale of two diecasts (C1 Wildcat & EI P-51B)

Hi Saeta,
Here's a pretty good thread on the (2) different brands of Wildcats.
FM F4F Wildcat vs. Carousel 1 F4F Wildcat

Re: A tale of two diecasts (C1 Wildcat & EI P-51B)

Greetings Saeta,

Having seen both C1/FM Wildcats, I favor the C1 you see on this thread: better tailwheel; rocking scheme; landing geat options; pilot figure; engine slightly more detailed. Plus I prefer how C1 presented the skin of the aircraft, less rivety than FM's.

Of course I'm on a huge bias high right now.

I know you mentioned having a pre-order on the two HM Lexington Buffalos. Just curious if you picked up the HM Saratoga Buffalo?

All four US Buffalos are due to my door in January!!!

Note the Wildcat comes with Elmer Plugs.

Mind if I borrow that term for my reviews

Elmer plugs, huh? I kinda like the sound of it! Ara, you can be my speech writer as I campaign for screwhead free diecast... Nice pics! I've got both of these.
