Re: just another day at the office

Pretty cool...looks a lot less painful than swapping out a TF-39...
BTW, welcome to the Forum, Xmarlin!

Re: just another day at the office

Too cool!

I did note, with my close up, that there was a little pile of left-over bolts. You had more than you needed? Just kidding.

That was great. Now my question: in Die Hard II, a baddie fell into the engine. I saw what happened in Catch-22 and the prop; does that happen in the 777--not that I want you to test it. But would it be SQUISH?

Re: just another day at the office

Takes me back to my younger days when I used to work at Pratt & Whitney and we were developing and certifying the PW4084 and PW4064. I acutally worked on the PW2037/2040/2043 (B757) and the F117-PW-100 (C-17). I loved going out to the Boeing facilities in Everett and Renton, WA and well as Long Beach, CA.

By the way - BOO RR!!!

Thanks for the welcome...

And it's a lot less painful than an Allison also.

Always a few extra parts when you're done right? Sometimes it's easier to go with new...

Haven't heard of any ingestions with the Trent...but a wise man once told me "Don't walk in front of behind an engine when it's making any noise..."
