Re: Your #1 pick for WWII Medium Bomber

Way Cool spotter books, CruverC.

All I have is a reproduction set of WWII spotter playing cards ( 3 views of each plane of all nationalities) that I got about 5-10 years ago at an upscale hardware store. They're nifty, but not nearly as cool as real period spotter books.

P.S. - I've always wanted to ask . . . what is a Cruver and why do you collect them?

Cruver is the name of the company that made the black plastic ID Models during WWII. At one time I had a collect of close to 250 of the Cruver ID models. The only problem with the Cruver ID models is that they start to break down over time(I had a B-29 and a Short Sunderland actually begin to melt down}. So I made the decision to trim my collection to just a few models, that and Cruvers can be real dust magnets. To be honest I like diecast more, a collection where all your planes are black tends to get old after awhile.
