Re: Your #1 pick for WWII Heavy Bomber

Don't we have about a dozen polls for all of this?

I have seen quite a few open ended discussions regarding aircraft diecast wish lists, lists of planes for folks to choose from (No input, no fun) and even a discussion on setting up a poll. I thought I did a thorough snoop through most of the discussions to see if someone had already compiled some numbers. What were the earlier end results?

Re: Your #1 pick for WWII Heavy Bomber

I just HAVE to believe that someone will make a 1/72 diecast B-29 in the not so distant future. The others mentioned so far are real long shots (including the Condor, Betty and Privateer, which I'd also love to see).

Other oddities that I'd love to see, but likely won't:

Consolidated B-32 Dominator
Heinkel He 177 Greif
Messerschmitt Me 264 Amerika (yeah, it never progressed beyond prototype stage, but, wow, what a lovely aircraft!)
Junkers Ju 290

Honestly, I like TB-3, but I know that chances are slim.

Click on any poll, the numbers are there. Perhaps rather than closing polls we should keep them current for newbies etc. to access. This has been suggested elsewhere by someone.
Maybe the questions of some polls were too vague, but I don't think so.
But hey, CC, if you have the time and interest, good for you.
Happily, I have found the "mark threads as read" button.

Sorry I wasn't clearer. The B-29 (in 1/72 scale) tops my list, by a long shot.

Seems to be very popular and thanks for the update.

Re: Your #1 pick for WWII Heavy Bomber

B 29, hands down, final answer, no other need apply! (In 1:72 please).
