Re: Your #1 pick for WWII Heavy Bomber

My vote was already cast for the B-29 and I still want it to be made first. But a B-17C would be sweet as well.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

With its distinctive rudder, oval shaped waist gun windows, and its ventral tub gun position, yep, it would make a great looking model.

Thumbs up Re: Your #1 pick for WWII Heavy Bomber

Yeah, I have to agree 100% with both Mustangdriver and CC, as I could go for that B-17C in it's classic polished finish so fast -- even though I did vote for the Stirling. (I tell 'ya, if someone did a sharp job of that Wright Field collection in 1:72, they'd sell a tonne of it!) Of course, it doesn't help I'm listening to a Glenn Miller Christmas broadcast on CD from 1941, doess it?

How about a poll for the runner-up in each category? (Just kidding -- JUST KIDDING!!)

Would you believe it, I spent yesterday listening to Lorraines fathers old collection Of Glen Miller music, great stuff the recordings have Glen introducing each number.

Music like that never stops being cool.

God Bless America.

Talking Re: Your #1 pick for WWII Heavy Bomber

. . . Music like that never stops being cool.

I hear that, Jim! We are such big band nuttz in our household. My wife has some of those old vinyl (or shellac?) recordings but we don't have a turntable out anymore -- we're 'square oldsters' -- we only have CDs -- not 'downloads' from the ITMS (Ooops! I mean the iTunes Music Store! -- according to our teenage niece and nephew anyhow! Kids.)
