I think it's French, but I don't remember who made it...

It is French and goes by the designation MGD PM-9.

Mod 1934 Hotchkiss 25 mm ATG (what happened to the barrel...?!)

And btw "door knocker" was the nickname given by the Germans to their own 37mm PAK36, wich couldn't perforate the frontal armor of French tanks in 1940.

On the other hand, no contemporary German tank was immune to the tungsten capped shell of the 25 mm ATG (Hotchkiss mod 34 or APX mod 37).

Correct on the Hotchkiss, door knocker was not to referrenc the German 37mm just the small size of the anti-tank piece. Piece is located at a museum at Fort Hood Texas and unsure what happened to the barrel.

My son knows the name of this one. He has it tagged as a FAMAS. (He has an airsoft version)
