Maybe a L85A2 or possibly a L22A1 carbine?

Exclamation Re: Quiz: Can you Name This Weapon?

It looks outrageous, therefore must be French. MAT 29 Submachine gun.

WRONG : MAT 1949 ! (the best military SMG, according to US specialists who faced it in Viet Nam...)

And NO, it looks far less outrageous than the M3, Sten, Sterling, Madsen, Owen, etc...

Re: Quiz: Can you Name This Weapon?

I wonder why they didn't include a bayonet on this gem.

I think it's French, but I don't remember who made it...

Cool Re: Quiz: Can you Name This Weapon?

How about this door knocker?

Mod 1934 Hotchkiss 25 mm ATG (what happened to the barrel...?!)

And btw "door knocker" was the nickname given by the Germans to their own 37mm PAK36, wich couldn't perforate the frontal armor of French tanks in 1940.

On the other hand, no contemporary German tank was immune to the tungsten capped shell of the 25 mm ATG (Hotchkiss mod 34 or APX mod 37).
