Iraqi Vet Surprised His Son at School

I found this clip and just had to pass it on. My heartfelt thanks, support, and good wishes go out to all the men and women in our military who are out there protecting my family from the crazies of the world. May they all come home safe and in one piece.

Wow! Thank you for sharing that. Makes you alittle teary eyed. Glad he made it back home safely. Wish all of them would.

Cough, sniff,
well that certainly broke me up good and proper, it really brings home what those guys have to give up in order to serve their country.

Re: Iraqi Vet Surprised His Son at School

My wife always smiles at me when I get teary-eyed because of some story of movie. I invariably say "That was a stupid movie" in a vain attempt to cover my show of emotion. She just caught me saying "Stupid new story".

God bless the men and women who are willing to sacrifice normalcy for us.

Re: Iraqi Vet Surprised His Son at School

Wow, that really brings it home. I have a 6 year old myself.

One of my buddies in the Army always says it is easiest for him when he's deployed but extremely difficult for the kids and wife he leaves behind.

God bless 'em all.

Re: Iraqi Vet Surprised His Son at School

Ouch. That strikes too close to home. My son found out last night (at our Bn x-mas party) by accident I'm off to parts unknown this summer. The plan was to hold off until after x-mas and tell him, needless to say his night a the roller rink arcade was shot.
And the next time some person with a California town values system complains about how this war effects them, I hope they can see this and know who is really effected. Great story, welcome home Navy!!
