Re: Your #1 pick for single engine WWII fighter

I would buy most every 1/48 on this list. Thanks CC for minding your thread so categorically. Makes it easy for a manufacturer to view the data.

And I'm guessing you'll start threads for multi-engined, multi role craft as well?

I was planning on doing WWII twin engine fighter, light bomber, medium bomber and heavy bomber threads. I also thought of doing one to cover float planes & flying boats, reconnaissance and cargo/glider models too.

You might want to clarify the light bomber category. Does it include anti-tank planes such as the Hs.129, for example, or the IL-2 or the SBD, Battle,Kate and Val? Or are you referring to A-20s, PE-2s ,SB-2s, Lilys etc.? Perhaps an" attack plane" category might be used. Also regarding twin-engined fighters, would these include night fighters? If so, you may wish to make that clear as these are frequently overlooked. Just trying to be helpful.

Good call, probably should do a thread on close air support/ground attack too. Twin engine night fighters could be included in twin engine fighter category, or could just make a separate thread for the nocturnal fighters.

Anything with Red Star on the wings will do for me, but if I have to pick, La-5FN
