If I could decide, My collection would be very small. Instead I am now like some of you, storing models unopened until I buy another display case.

Yep, one plane and one plane only, no lists.

Only one plane? Sigh.

I'll go with the Corsair in 1/48th!

This is so difficult! I guess it has to be a Spit then. Mk. XII clipped wing maybe...

Re: Your #1 pick for single engine WWII fighter

I don't understand the poll.

Some people seem to be answering as if this was the one plane they'd want in addition to what they have now, others as if that would be their only piece of diecast allowed, period.

Who's right? I've got two very distinct answers depending on which one it is...

As above for me a FW 190 D too.

Re: Your #1 pick for single engine WWII fighter

A nicely detailed 1/48th P-51D Mustang with 100% totally accurate dimensions all the way around including non-anorexic landing gear struts, tires and wheels with perfectly-sized and fitted doors....I know this is evidently asking the impossible, but that's what I would like...

I vote for Skunky for president if the above model is made.

Intended to see what WWII single engine fighter members would like to see in diecast. Thought it would be simple to limit choice to one plane for ease in keeping track of. Did not close it out to aircraft already produced, because I have come across numerous comments with member dissatisfied with the current pickings. My first pick hopefully would have been a lead in do to fact that there is no current diecast model of it (Well, actually there is one, and it should be mailbox tomorrow or Friday, nothing fancy, but it will be a 1/72nd scale diecast P-36.). So to clear any confusion, if you had the call on the next diecast WWII single engine fighter coming out this would be your pick.

Scales and specific aircraft model type would be nice.
