Re: Your #1 pick for single engine WWII fighter

I noticed the Fireball is on here. I would love to see that one as well. But remember that it is not a single engine fighter. It had a jet in the tail, and a radial up front.

You are absolutely right, and I forgot about it being a mixed power type. If this disqualifies it from this poll, then (if it is allowed) I'd like to change the vote to the F2A Buffalo in 1/72nd.

But aren't we voting for something that's not been done?

Ok, I went back to the 1st post, it stated: current models may not be correct variant, scale or possible quality issue with current models...

Aren't there already good P 51D's out there?

I didn't understand that as being the criteria, Cap.....I thought it was if we could only have one (in any of these categories)...Maybe I'm wrong about that, but I'm seeing a lot of votes for aircraft that have already been done over and over again....

Alright CC I know you are looking for more audience participation so here is my vote.....Suprise......The Hurricane! I know there are the sexier birds like the stangs, spits, 190's etc. but I have a liking for the workhorses like the Hurris, bolts, & p-40s Hurricane has been one of my favorites since I was a young lad so I must stay loyal.

In 1/72nd scale, yes.....Draggin does, and Gemini makes a great 'B'
I was just thinking the purpose of these polls was to determine - if we could only have one model in our collections, in each of these categories (single engine WWII fighter, WWII heavy bomber, etc) what would they be?....whether such a model currently exists or not......but I could be completely befuddled about all this as most of my energy lately has been expended on running away from tank nut..

Nothing wrong with the Hawker Hurricane and will mark you down for 1 vote on the Hurricane.(Shoot I went for the a P-36/Hawk 75, none of the slim and trim Jennie Craig planes for me.)
