Let's not forget China Beach.

Who could forget China Beach--Nurse McMurphy was sooooo hot! (Still is)

Lost In Space, first season, when Dr. Smith was still a creepy villian, and not a lazy buffoon.

Yes, I agree. But not with what Skunky said about how good "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" is on dvd.

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

No particular order -

Millenium - seasions 1-2 (3rd and last season so-so)

Rome - left me wanting a 3rd season....badly.

Johnny Quest - original complete animated series - blast from the past (childhood).

Titus - Disfunctional family fun - Ahead of its time????

Stargate - Seasons 1-5,6 (?) toward the end not that impressed, but watched out of loyalty.
Stargate Atlantis - Really liked season 1 - now watch more out of loyalty as well.

The Outer Limits (New series) - I think only the first season of the New series has been released on DVD

The Shield - just a great, well done show - regardless of the (non) ethics of the main (all???) characters....but that adds to the intrigue.

24

Highlander - the series...."hey, I liked 'em!"

Battlestar Galactica (New) *****+ stars. First 2 seasons were the BEST thing on TV. 3rd season kinda meandered for me- but still among the best on TV. Beyond just good sci-fi - much deeper.

American Dreams - watched this weekly as a family. Not too bad.

Rescue Me and
Nip Tuck - Both have some great seasons/moments, but the last seasons for both were down hill for me. (just an opinion)

Just a few off the top of my head.

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

If you're looking for cartoons, DADose is right recommending Johnny Quest (the original). Another good cartoon is Bullwinkle...

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

Skunky, they answered the question as to why such a smart guy couldn't patch the holes in the ship--his nails exploded when struck, and his glue
disolved in water.

How'd I miss that episode?....
