Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

I liked watching "Firefly" when it was aired...too bad Fox canned it...Another one i did like too was "Tour of Duty "
and let not forget the HBO program
"From the earth to the Moon" that was a good mini series too a few years ago.

Yeah, right. I liked it very much. Still have that boxset somewhere in my collection.

"Danger: UXB"

(UXB=Unexploded bomb). This series was on the BBC ca 1978 and in the US on Masterpiece Theatre in 1979/80. A great mini-series, one of the best on the war. It follows a bomb disposal unit during the Battle of Britain. Good, good stuff.

Gilligan's Island

question: If the professor was so danged smart and could build all the stuff that he did out of salvaged parts and raw materials from the island, how come he couldn't figure out how to patch up a stupid boat?....

Yes, and it's quite expensive last I checked. But it's real, real good.

I think i remember that one....It must of been on PBS if i remember right back in 1980 somewhere around that time.
They do make a DVD of it...I may just get it.

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

Rome was a great series on HBO - both seasons are available on DVD.

My Name is Earl is another current series which is pretty funny (runs with The Office I think but I usually catch the DVDs). Past seasons available on DVD.

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

I'd like to recommend some HBO series: Big Love (both seasons on DVD); Flight of the Conchords (all episodes are on DVD); and the greatest HBO series of them all- The Sopranos!
