Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

Hello All

Rat Patrol and Combat are on one of my digital cable channels now.. I always thought Rat Patrol was one of the coolest shows when I was younger..

And on a less serious note, Boston Legal is good for a laugh.

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

Band of Brothers was really good, too.

I read that there is going to be a similar series about the war in the pacific. Any news on that?

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

Combat is an excellent show. I have the entire dvd set.
Another good show is Tour of Duty. Similar to Combat but set during the Vietnam war.

Forgot all about Tour of Duty. That was a very well done show.

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

I would highly recommend the X-files. I was hooked (still am) and have all 9 seasons.

Some really good episodes covering black projects and alien conspiracy's.

I like the show House, because it tends to be a bit on the Politacally Incorrect side.

Re: Recommendable TV-Series?

If you want really good Sci-Fi, find the series "FIREFLY". It was a short-lived series by the creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel". There were only about a dozen episodes (2 or so that never even aired), since FOX cancelled it. But the show was great and it led to the movie "Serenity" that came out after the series was cancelled. The show has an almost rugged, old west feel even though its set in future outer space. It's way cool with great writing. Highly Recommended. You'll notice my current quote is from the movie "Serenity".

Yeah, Firefly is really, really great! Too bad they cancelled it so fast. Good thing is, you can get the whole series and film for not too much money.
