An LST equipped as an aircraft carrier. They operated light observation aircraft in support of the landings in the Med. Based on the layout I'd say it is LST-906. There were five other LSTs in this basic configuration but only LST 906 had four aircraft racks fitted.

Here is a 1/1250 scale model of her so you can see how the cradles worked:

Exactly correct on this one. Picture out of a Joint Service Army Navy Recognition Journal from the 1940s. Fantastic looking model. Curious, have you ever heard of a ship game callec Fletcher Pratt's Naval War Game?

Japanese Tenryu class light cruiser- either Tenyru or Tatsuta. Both lost in World War Two, both sunk by US submarines.

Correct answer on the light cruiser!

Re: Quiz: Can You Name This Ship?

Italian Raimondo Montecuccoli class light cruiser- either Raimondo Montecuccoli or Muzi Attendolo both completed in 1935. Attendolo has her bow blown off by a tropedo from HMS Unbroken and then while in port for repairs was sunk in a US bombing raid. Montecoccoli survived the war and served as a training ship post-war lasting in that role until 1963.

Good answer!! I thought this might have been a hard one to nail down.

Sure- Fletcher Pratt was big before WW2. No one seems to be quite sure what happened to all the models they built for the game. They were a mix of 1/600 and 1/1200.

Had to look at my references to see which class they were. They are very similar to the following class but the aircraft handling gear is just slightly different.
