Re: Quiz: Can You Name This Ship?

Didn't have time earlier but I'll post a couple now. Starting with a modern one:

Japanese Kongo class.

Re: Quiz: Can You Name This Ship?

Correct. They look somewhat like the US Navy Burkes but as pointed out above have differences including a different style of mast.

Re: Quiz: Can You Name This Ship?

Here is another one- older this time:

This looks it could be a Bellerophon Class Dreadnought. With there only being three ships to the class, it could be the HMS Bellerophon, HMS Superb or the HMS Temeraire.

Re: Quiz: Can You Name This Ship?

And one more, slightly bigger picture for this guy:

Have to go with the German armored cruiser SMS Blücher.

Correct- happens to be the Superb. Very similiar to HMS Dreadnought with the obvious difference being the placement of the foremast ahead of the stack rather than behind it in Dreadnought.

Correct. Blucher lost at Dogger Bank in 1915.

Japanese Tenryu class light cruiser- either Tenyru or Tatsuta. Both lost in World War Two, both sunk by US submarines.

Here is another ship for somebody to take a crack at.

Re: Quiz: Can You Name This Ship?

Italian Raimondo Montecuccoli class light cruiser- either Raimondo Montecuccoli or Muzi Attendolo both completed in 1935. Attendolo has her bow blown off by a tropedo from HMS Unbroken and then while in port for repairs was sunk in a US bombing raid. Montecoccoli survived the war and served as a training ship post-war lasting in that role until 1963.

Here is one more for someone to tack a name to.
