I'm not much into "showbirds", but I would be interested in that one if done (well) by someone...That looks awesome.

I agree! Now why oh why did the AF take the most beautiful airframe ever, and slap a bunch of ugly grey paint all over it?? They sure don't paint 'em like they used to!

The answer is simple: it makes the aircraft very hard to see in flight, under most light conditions. Operational effectiveness taking precedence over flashy good looks! Imagine that! Too bad for model collectors, though...

However, good taste in airframes, Elmer!

I've always preferred the low-vis schemes. At first, I thought that F-16 was photo-shopped because it just didn't seem real!
