Re: College Football - 2006 season.

Whoo-Hoo, it is halftime, and Ohio State is up 14 to 7, and that 7 came due to a very dubious call on a failed 3rd down play when we were called for a personal foul. The replay showed no helmet to helmet contact! Oh well.

I will point out, however, I am still making no predictions, still a full half of football to play with Texas. We will see what happens.

While on the subject of buckeyes....What does a player have to do to get a buckeye sticker on his helmet? I've also been watching (Go Horns) & noticed that it was the 1st quarter of only the second game & already multiple buckeye stickers!! Some guys have as many as 8!! They opened against N. Illinois, not a 1-A powerhouse!.....So, if you tie your shoes, do you get a buckeye?! What are the criteria?

LOL. Maybe they get them for attending class?

I remember in HS if you had a sack you got a tomahawk, if you made a tackle for a loss you received a wildcat (our mascot) and if you recoved a fumble or intercepted a pass you got a football but everyone is different.

I do not know exactly, perhaps someone else will give a better explaination. I saw on TV once a complete explaination, but I do not remember it. But, basically, Buckeye leaves are given for good play, based upon review of the game tape after the game.

By the way, the games over, but I'm not saying anything at this point. The Buckeyes said all that is needed to be said on the field!

The Big Ten was well represented........I always root for the Big Ten in these types of games. (Was just kidding about the go Horns).

Naw, that can't be. They have way way too many of them on their helmets for that to be it.

Texas sucks! It was a soft win. Go Blue.

A good football day. Very bad baseball-wise!

Take cash from a booster?.....

Get arrested?......

Show up for study table?....

Remain academically eligible?...

(I liked the "attend class" reply. Humor directed toward college athletics - not Ohio State in particular.)

No No No... It's not just the arrest it's how you get there. You need to roll in your Hoopdee w/ the right gear: Assault Rifle ($800), check! Multiple back up semi auto hand guns ($500+ea), check! Body armor ($500) and a Bottle O Vodka ($10), Check! Your bail and the media spotlight for the week? Priceless!
Go UW Huskies! WOOF!!! Yeah, Oklahoma yesterday, I know... that left a mark!
