Re: College Football - 2006 season.

A bit late to the thread but I am a lifelong Kansas Jayhawks fan - yes we play football (Gale Sayers was a Jayhawk) as well as basketball - and I grew up a fan of the Irish as well. My next door neighor is an Alabama alum so I like to see what Auburn does just to pull his chain.

Great series of games this weekend considering it was the opening weekend and lot of teams played schlubs. ND and GT was dicey and I did fear a repeat of Auburn from last year. I couldn't believe the whipping Tennessee put on Cal. They have served notice early. It should be a great season.

Re: College Football - 2006 season.

I used to have a bumber sticker with that on it.

Here's another one I used to have...

Directions from Ann Arbor to Columbus: Go south until you smell it and east until you step in it! (Sorry couldn't resist)

Can't wait until the start of the season TOMORROW and the BIG GAME on 10/18! Go BLUE!!!!!!

Funny, I always heard that story the opposite way-to get to Ann Arbor, go north to you smell it, and east until you step in it. Just shows that Michigan people have to steal OUR jokes!

Also, the BIG GAME is November 18, not 10/18! Just shows that Michigan fans can't type!

Michigan and whoever is playing the Buckeyes!

And I figured out the photos.

Now, now, Parsig. Being a Big 10 fan, and that I like a great game, I always route FOR Michigan, except when they play The Ohio State University, or if they have to lose in order for us to win the Big 10! Especially when they play a non-conference opponent.

GO BUCKEYES! BEAT MICHIGAN (and everyone else you play)!

Re: College Football - 2006 season.

Huge (see my handle) Huge College Football fan.

I'm an alum of both the University of Texas and Texas Tech University...two teams that happen to be the teams to beat in the Big 12 this year. UT of course the reigning National Champion. Tech has one of the most exciting offenses in the country and is a program on the rise with head coach Mike Leach. My wife, whom I met my sophomore year at UT also went to Texas Tech for Law School.

Go Tech & Hook'em Horns!

Should be a great college football weekend coming up.

Mr. Football-

I am all for the Big 12 as long as you aren't playing my 'Hawks . I love college sports and our schools have had some great battles - mostly in basketball but we nearly had Texas here in Lawrence 2 years ago until the last minute. We won't play this year but I hope we meet one of you on Dec 2nd.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

I am an engineer by training so I can't spell either!

This weekend's game will be a good indicator of how Michigan will perform the rest of the season. If they struggle, I will not want to watch the ND game .

Re: College Football - 2006 season.

Whoo-Hoo, it is halftime, and Ohio State is up 14 to 7, and that 7 came due to a very dubious call on a failed 3rd down play when we were called for a personal foul. The replay showed no helmet to helmet contact! Oh well.

I will point out, however, I am still making no predictions, still a full half of football to play with Texas. We will see what happens.
