Re: P40s OK

Well I seem to have removed the bugs and I can post piccies again, well to be honest it has taken a computor expert four and a half hours to sort things out and remove a Gremlin from the system. Something called spyware had got into the computor and was blocking the programme. (You computor guys will know what that is , I dont ,its all Greek to me)!

Anyway now all I have to do is learn how to take photos worthy of putting on this esteemed forum.

Wheres the camera,,,,,,hu,,,LORRAINE WHERES MY CAMERA GONE?

Darn women they are always moving things so you cannot find them, she calls it being tidy! Whats that?

Careful Jim. Being 'tidy' could mean moving you out of the house.

Re: P40s OK

Love your awesome P-40s collection there, Jim!

I have a magazine photo of that particular P-40 with all the users' insignias and markings...I shall scan it for you and post one on here.

Re: P40s OK

Jim,

Awesome collection you've got there - makes me jealous. Love the P-40s. What brand and scale are they and did you do the decorating yourself?

Pictures aren't bad either.

Many thanks HotTrap,
Sadly none of them are my work,

I have lost track of what make they all are, let me think.
Ok there are,

2 GMPs.....................Best diecast ever.......1.35

2 FMS.......................Not the best diecast from FM but not bad....1/48. BTW their Spitfire is very poor.
1 FOV......................I think its FOVs best effort yet. .......1/72

1 Carousel...............Superb detail and build quality.....1/48

1 Easy model...........I am not a great fan of Easy models but I wanted a Russian example of the P40.......1/72

12 Corgis.................Very good and cheaply priced too...............1/72

3 Matchbox..............Very good for the time, I wish they had made more......1/72.

1 Ixo........................Nuff said but I can live with it, its not as bad as some Ixos.

And one more 1/48 scale model that I cannot remember the makers name. Its LT J B Paris's mount , Plastic of poor quality build.
The tail is bent , big gaps at the wing joints and the wheels dont fit flush.
But again I can live with it, I like the nose art on this one, the Flying skull complete with pilots helmet.
I remember, its a 21st Century model that I left under a spotlight and the heat it warped it, my fault!

Now I am awaiting Dragons upcoming release of the P40, it should be a good one.
Also I am pondering over the Cleo from FM but its a lot of money and thats something I am short of at the moment.

edit,

Now what have I got up in the loft!!!!!

God Bless America.

Many thanks Fly , I will look forward to it.

There are still so many P40s out there waiting to join my collection, but they are mostly plastic it seems. But having said that ,they are very cheap.
