Lightbulb Ok, Whos going to make these babies ???

1/72 Scale the best scale for diecast airplanes. Its a fact :-)

I cant even imagine why someone, other than Gaincorp with there high prices and decals has not made these yet.

Hey Dragon want to be a hero again,

F-22 Raptor I gotta have one in 1/72 scale

And while I am asking where the heck is a descent Stealth F-117, I know Air Command, once again average and decals did some. Plus they are history now anyway.

F-117Stealth and F-22 Raptor would sell like hotcakes wouldnt they?

Maybe I missed it and someone is doing these?

Flaps, while I agree that a good 1/72nd F-117 and F-22 would certainly be a welcome sight, I have to say I'm curious as to where this fact came from.....

I disagree.
While they may be harder to collect, I think that 1/48th is the best scale. There's much greater potential for detail in 48th than 72, and they display soo much better. The same could be said for 1/32nd, but that scale is just too big.

I say this as I look at my Carousel 1 Fw190D-13 next to the Dragon 190D-9.

I agree,

1/48 sure takes up a lot of space but from my point of view it is worth it.

Besides how much detail do you wnat to put in i.e. an F-117? I had the SunStar 1/72 and compared it to the several 1/48 ones I have. They were the same differing only in size! So to generalize and say 1/72 has more detail than 1/48 is rather shortsighted. Sure there are 1/72 models such as the Witty F-14 which have so much detail I would love to see in 1/48...

I had 1/18 models before which are simply way too big and I concur that 1/32 is also too big.

For me 1/48 has the best balance between size and detailedness.

Re: Ok, Whos going to make these babies ???

I was only kidding on the perfect scale thing, it is my choice since I think the detail on any Dragon/Corgi/Witty/HM and others is way better than most of the 1/48 offerings from FM, which generally I did not like, sold off most of mine except for around 4 that I dont have boxes for.

Now the more important item here is the F-22 and F-117, any rumors on anyone doing these soon.

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with sunstar's F-117....I wouldn't miss my gaincorp F-22 if I could replace it

Re: Ok, Whos going to make these babies ???

I aggree it was ok and price was fair although one of mine the bottom decals fell off in the box, because they are decals and Sunstar us toast, they no longer make these, So I was hoping someone else would come out with a nice improved model.

The Gaincorp F-22 isn't so bad once you cut down the nose gear to size:

Still, there's certainly room for a better rendition of this magnificent aircraft in that scale. No argument there...
