Hobby stores in North Carolina

I'm heading down to Charlotte in a few days.
Any good hobby stores in Charlotte or within a 2 hour drive?

Asheville Diecast is, IIRC, about an hour and a half west of there.

Thanks Rush, already heading to Asheville for Nascar store so that fits well.

You are welcome, sir. When you get there, have some Krystal Burgers for me, if you would!

Never had 'em but I'll get one for you and another for myself. What sides go with that, fries & coke?

Yeah, fries and coke. It's been so long since I've been to a Krystal's, IIRC, I don't think they sell milkshakes. That's kind of strange for a burger joint!

Thanks!

Now you have me thinking of planning a trip down South...

Re: Hobby stores in North Carolina

If you make it Fayetteville / Ft. Bragg look up The Hobbit on Yadkin Rd. Its the best hobby shop in town. Then go up the road to main post and see the 82nd Airborne and Special Forces museum or go downtown to the US Army Airborne / Special Operations museum. The later is real cool with a C-47 and CG-4A on display among other cool stuff.

Ah but thats the cover for the group. We actually discuss the many ways to annoy folks with our 4x4s, execessive used of light bulbs, guns, red meat diet, and send membership applications to the NRA to our liberal neighbors.
