"One take off, and one landing, I get it", in my best Jimmy Stewart impression.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: San Francisco Seeks to Ban Terrorist Blue Angels

Does everybody know that Corgi just announced plans to release a 1/72 scale B-36, "three turning, six burning?" It depicts "The Margaret Moran", the plane featured in Stategic Air Command.

I think I heard about that a couple months ago, too...
Good for Corgi if it's still on their to-be-released list. Does anyone have a photo of the original they can post? Or other B-36 liveries you'd like to see?

Nrrrm! Whoosh! Rat-tat-tat!

Re: San Francisco Seeks to Ban Terrorist Blue Angels

But what if they were elected, wouldn't that show public support for these idiots? Has anyone from the public called for thier heads over this and other anti-military BS? I'll bet not. Sorry, but S.F. is on the no visit list.
- Shawn

And why should anti-military BS not be allowed in a democracy? You might agree with it - you might not, but if people are afraid to say what they feel then that one step closer to a totalitarian state.

Frankly they can say what they like, thats what makes a free society free and so can you.

Ooops!

Freedom of speech can be allowed, thats all well and good. What I dont like is the dogs and servicemembers off the lawn attitude. S.F. wants the Navy's hard earned cash during Fleet Week. But could care less about the Fleet any other time.
They don't want a Battleship in the harbor (another source of income and employment) as its a symbol of war. But they enjoy the freedom that ship and many others provided.
And lord help them if another earthquake hits that town and all heck breaks loose. I'm suppose to go in there and help with aid and relief for the same folks who could care less about me? Thats not suppose to get under my skin? I'll go where ordered and do what I'm told. I don't have to like it or those who don't like me or those like me.

Oh, yeah -- I hear it's part of the Working Range. It'll take off if you don't weigh the stand down... And the props can cool a 150-square-foot room!

Apparently Corgi was all set to release this baby, in fact a few had been drop-shipped to a few CVS's, when Paramount pulled the plug on the licensing deal. Among Paramount's demands:

1) Offer a jeep and General combo, with the General pointing and scowling;

2) offer a C-47 "invader" ship, complete with mock invasion communist troops;

and 3) change the name of the B-36 from "The Margaret Moran" to "The Big Bosomed Lady with a Dutch Accent (who tried to change my point of view)"

Corgi is reputedly mulling the new requests.

I could not agree with you more on that.
