SBD dive flaps

Does anyone know the angles for fully deployed flaps on an SBD when it is in a dive? I know the top flaps (dive flaps) angle is different from the lower flaps (landing flaps) angle but what these angles are exactly I don't know.

Re: SBD dive flaps

Hawkone,

I suggest e-mailing the National Museum of Naval Aviation's library. My father has dealt with them numerous times concerning rather esoteric Naval Aviation questions and they have always come through. They have the flight manuals, engineering diagrams, etc. and I know they'd have the answer you need.

Here is their contact information:

Jason

Thanks very much, it's done.

Would this have anything to do with HM's proposed 1:32 SBD????

I too suspected it as much. It might be one of the 'working feature' for that a/c, we'll see.....
