Yes, I agree! Both should be on the Discovery Channel for sure. Ice Road Truckers is ok, but Human Weapon sucks.

Human weapon is for those with um, well those who have, basically the ego-midgets in the crowd. The one time I'd agree with another on here, the days of hand to hand in the grand scheme of things is gone. But its all the rage with those who have, I mean, well you know.

I would like to echo the sentiments expressed here; to whit: What the heck are shows like Human Weapon and Ice Road Truckers doing on the History Channel?

They have been making so many good shows lately, like the one with Peter Weller about different Empires, and the one about what is below the surface of modern cities, not to mention Dogfights.

Sounds like you guys need a TIVO box. Setup a season pass and you'll never miss an epesode - even re-programs automaticly when something like this happens.

Was away this weekend, and did wonder if I'd missed it yesterday when it wasn't available in my recordings list, but found out it was gona be recorded on tuesday instead .

"This just in" from the producers.

The new air date for Dogfights: The First Dogfighters is now scheduled for Thursday, August 23rd. The website still says Friday night, but we just received word that it will be Thursday night. As soon as I know what time I will inform you, otherwise keep checking the website for updates.

The usual Friday night slot is taken by "Human Weapon" crap rather than another "Dogfight" segment. No explanation from the network so the producers are as perplexed as the rest of us. It's possible that Dogfights will move permanently to Thursdays, but that's speculative.

Okay, just watched the low-level episode -- what was up with those P-51 escorts mistaking a box of 64 190s creeping into firing position on the Forts for friendlies? I hope someone caught some heat for that when everyone got back to base........ egad!

One would think that as an escort that any time a plane of even remotely questionable identity came anywhere near the bombers you would make sure it wasn't an enemy instead of assuming it was a friendly...

THat just blew my mind a bit... cool episode though -- despite all the narration gaffs. I think it's pretty fun how they show the armament of a 190 as twin 12.7s and 20mm cannon and then the narration keeps saying "four 30mm cannon"...

I watched Modern Marvels: Smart Bombs on the History Channel last night.
All about development of smart bombs. Great great flying shots from 'Nam to Iraq.
Shows F-14 with full weapons load.
