Open the first one then use your right arrow key to browse. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the 1957 Plymouth Belvedere that was buried in Tulsa's time capsule in 1957. As you can see it didn't fair too well. When they opened the capsule the car was resting in three feet of water.

| Re: Tulsarama Autoshow 2007
The actual winner of the car died in the eighties. The car now goes to his family and I think that it's his nephew (late 40s) that will get the car. Many have said that they wouldn't come forward if they won considering the cars condition, but offers of over $300,000 have already been made for the car. One museum wants to build a replica of the time capsule with a cutaway and display it as it was found (minus the water of course). We also have a 1998 Plymouth Prowler prototype with trailer that's in a time capsule. It's about a mile from where the Belvedere was buried. It was entombed in 98 and is to be removed in 2048. It was put in a plastic container that was later filled with some type of inert gas. That coupled with the fact that the Prowler isn't buried like the Belvedere should increase it's chances of survival. I hope I live to see it extracted, it's very likely that the Plymouth name will not.

Well thats a good update on the story...The nephew should claim it and then sell it off to the highest bidder... That is if he don't want it. jp
