Re: Jolly Green

Yeah the did. The "Sandy" or Skyraiders would go in and draw fire to see where the guns were, then they would take out the guns, and only then would the Jolly Green come in. My uncle was pulled out of the jungle by a Jolly Green and a Sandy that was running low on fuel, but would not leave him until he knew that he was safe inside the Jolly.

I think (believe) I know where you are going with these? You wanna see all the featured a/c from the FOTI movie, right?

Re: Jolly Green

Ha Ha! Yeah that would be great. Honestly though I think it is time that we need a Jolly Green. There are a ton of paint schemes, although I would want the standard camo over white scheme.

Re: Jolly Green

So this is the chopper I'm in love with and I would like to see one in diecast. This is what I have always thought was the Sikorsky CH-53 (HH-53) Jolly Green Giant. Could you experts please verify if the above chopper is the CH-53 or not. I'm a bit confused in the last week about helicopters with people talking about H-3s and that a CH-53 was a "Super Jolly"? or something like that? Danka.

Re: Jolly Green

That is the Jolly Green that I want. The H-3 I was talking about is what Corgi already makes, and is what my uncle was shot down in.

This is a CH-53 (HH-53) Super Green Giant, the Jolly Green Giant was an HH-3E, a version of the Sea King.
