Post Bugatti Veyron vs Typhoon

Cars as a subject leave me cold but this is an entertaining piece of nonsense put out on British TV........ how many takes it took to get such a close result one can only speculate YouTube - Top Gear: Bugatti Veyron Against Eurofighter

Re: Bugatti Veyron vs Typhoon

Hey thanks for the post, Nimrod48!

I beg to differ on the "entertaining piece of nonsense" comment, mind you, I am always intrigued by films made like these that compare
performances of automobile vs aircraft - the sheer brute force and power of each powerplant just sends chills down the spine for me!
The host and driver reminds me of Dennis Leary, an american actor...or Hugh Jackman, the aussie actor. What a poor excuse when he
said that it's hard to obtain a replica of the Eurofighter (a Concord diecast sub..c'mon man) when he was demonstrating the circuit event -
he must not be a Corgi collector then.

Very entertaining & 'fun' like "Top-Gear" (THE Programme) always is, hence why it appeals even to Girls !!!!!!!!!

The pint-sized presenter, (the already well known Richard Hammond) shot to international notoriety (around a year ago now), when his Rocket-fuelled Dragster (that was being filmed for this VERY same series) crashed after a high speed tyre-blowout that almost cost him his life !!!!!!!!)

Ironically, THAT actual incident/crash, happened at Elvington - the very same wartime Handley-Page Halifax airfield, that the 'controversial' composite airframe "Friday the 13th" is now based (& was 'built' at)..........

NOT to be confused with the REAL/actual Friday the 13th's base/airfield, which was RAF Lisset, with 158 Sqdn, to the East of Yorkshire.

Topical, as so much anguish is being expressed at the moment, regarding Corgi's Friday the 13th release (will it/won't it be wearing 'dual-nationality' markings - I doubt it, hope I'm not wrong), Elvington's worth a visit, nonetheless.

Those gorgeous Eurofighter/Typhoons fly over my front-garden from Mon-Thursdays, as they are banking round, to practise 'mock-attacks' on the N.A.T.O. bombing/strafing range opposite where I live - see almost as many now, as I do Tornado's & USAF F.15-E strike-Eagles, from the 48th Fighter-Wing from Lakenheath..........
Wonderful looking (& sounding) plane - GREAT to watch, but un-interesting in die-cast form (Glad it crushed the Bugatti, though !)
If 'Jeremy Clarkson' were driving, he wouldn't have come out with the "you're useless" comment at the end of the Vid'.

He got HAMMERED by a 34 year old German Woman, round the Nurburgring, in a Jaguar & was made to look like a 'right-***k-head' !!!

Re: Bugatti Veyron vs Typhoon

This looks like it was inspired by the drag race between the F-104 and the Ferarri that the Italians staged years ago...

Here it is, FlyX, as requested !!!!!!! (in two-instalments !)

Clarkson tries (repeatedly) to 'crack' the (hard) "10 minute-barrier" -
.........gets utterly Humiliated (BY A GIRL !) at the end of 1st vid' !!!!!!!!!!!

YouTube - TG's Jaguar S-TypeD on Nürburgring p.2

The talented (& gorgeous, but cocky) Sabine Schmit (after 'decimating' him !) then goes on to almost equal
HIS VERY BEST 'Jaguar' S-TYPE 'time' in a (lowly) Ford Transit DELIVERY VAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Notice whilst driving the 'Delivery-Van', how she (also) Humiliates other track-users in fast cars &
even SPORTS MOTORCYCLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(How UTTERLY Embarrasing !!!!!!!!!!!)

She utters a 'classic' comment @ 2:13 (mins) in the video

"... bike in my way, ENGLISCH 'Schlug' (slug) on der bike !!!!! "

(which gives an indication as to WHY we're ALWAYS at war with the Germans (lol) !!!!!!!!

YouTube - Sabine Schmitz In a Ford Transit

It's a (truly) classic video, with the Eurofighter presenter, Richard Hammond in the van initially

Worth watching !

Sabine, you Rock !!!!!!!!!! (can be MY Girlfriend ANY day of the week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) xxx

Yeah, she does "ROCK" doesn't she? Amazing how she could negotiate those high speed turns like you wouldn't believe...I think she could kick some major arse
if she competed in Formula 1. Thanks for the video links, that was most entertaining!
