Re: armour b-17

I have seen the FM Gen Ike B-17 and it looks really good.
I have yet to get one of these in 1:48 as well..So far i have the B-25 and B-26..
That B-17 is going to be big ya know. Has a 26" wingspan on that baby.

I have seen the Memphis Belle at my local hobbytown and it is a BIG plane.. It is nice from what I can see although a little sparce in detail and it comes with a hefty price..

Re: armour b-17

Go for the B-17. It is a great piece, but it has it's flaws here and there. I have the Memphis Belle, and I like it.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

I don't have a FM B-17, but I've taken some real close looks at 'em. For my money, I'd go with Corgi -- I think overall the pooch's heavies are more detailed/accurate and much more practical for display, too... (not to mention much less expensive). I do have a FM B-26 (Big Hairy Bird) and B-25 Doolittle Raider that I like quite a a bit, though. (very sparse interior detail, though).
