Rough trip to the NMUSAF

Some friends that have always wanted to go to the musuem asked me if I wanted to go down with them Friday night, and then they would drop me off at the Dayton airport so that I could head up to Michigan. We stopped in Reynoldsburg, OH just outside of Columbus. When we returned to the car, we found that someone had broken into it. They stole from me; all of the clothes I had with me, My 6 month old Nikon D50 with telephoto lense, my Garmin GPS, and my small Fuji point and shoot digital. Needless to say that made for a bad trip. The worst part of it is that on the camera bag, I had pins from the different trips I had taken, museums I have been to, and organizations I belong to. Some people just suck.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Sorry to hear about that, MD.......Just remember, you'll always be better off than the sad individual(s) who took your stuff.

Yeah -- that really is a p!ss-off. I have that very same Nikon and the telephoto lens, so I can appreciate your loss completely. The cameras can be replaced, but those keepsakes from the other trips -- irreplaceable. I feel your pain. Very sorry to hear of your misfortune.

Re: Rough trip to the NMUSAF

Thats a sad story Mustangdriver.

I hate those %$*&^**$ , excrement. A guy works hard and saves his money to buy something to make life fun and some scum$%^**&^ thinks he can just take it.
Its not just the dollar value of the items but as you say its the personal aspect that is the most important part. Those pins hold memories that mean nothing to the *&*&%$ that took them.
Its happened to me also and if I could have gotten my hands on the scum that stole my stuff .... well perhaps its a good thing I didnt because he or me was due a hospital visit.
Sorry to hear of your troubles .

God Bless America.

Re: Rough trip to the NMUSAF

So very sorry to hear that MD. That really STINKS! Being from the general Central Ohio area, I apologize. Of course, as I had nothing to do with it, I'm not sure what that's worth, but there it is.

Don't forget to check with your home or auto, or the person's auto insurance who owned the car. I'm no expert, but I wouldn't be suprised if there may be some insurance coverage for that somewhere.
