Re: Worst war movies you have seen.

Actually, since his real name was Marion, I'm surprised he wasn't known as "The Duchess"

And this is coming from some one named Skunky! I heard your real name is La Femme de' Phew!

He only stood about 4 foot 12..... In the westerns they had him riding around on a Shetland pony to make him look like a big guy...

Re: Worst war movies you have seen.

John Wayne did deliver the BEST hit in movie history in The Sons of Katie Elder when he nailed George Kennedy with the axe handle!

Aircrafty, you got that one right. Tora Tora Tora was the most sensible war movie to come out of Hollywood. No love situations, no Wayne like dialog. An honest story and most self effacing. Mistakes were made and admitted to.

Unhappy Re: Worst war movies you have seen.

I didn't care for this movie because there were no Americans in it....

Hi Skunky, Frodo (Elijah Wood) will be shattered that you forgot about him.

Re: Worst war movies you have seen.

I also liked Midway. It is long, but cool.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
