The Spitfire is hard to beat in this category. But aeasthetically pleasing doesn't disqualify radial engines. I enjoy the appearance of later Corsairs. I also think the Irving's planform was very pleasing.

I'm calling "foul" on MoMo's latest photo release...Unflattering shot of the Mustang as opposed to the one of the Spit....

I guess I'll just have to provide my own...

Shawn, it's about aesthetically pleasing. Not sputtering comment. My choices are Spitfire and Corsair.

MoMo,

Where is that Macchi hanging? It is a beautiful plane...but if I have to vote for one, it would be the Spitfire.

Looks like it's in the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC. I remember that giant mural painting by Keith Ferris!

Yes, it's true, the kid is cute. But where is his flying helmet, and does he hold the correct qualifications to fly an aeroplane?

Yes, I'm sure that FlyXwire is correct. It does seem to be the place where I tracked the pic down.

On my first visit to Shuttlewworth I was fortunate to see their MkV flying; a bit like the old (very) song with the beautiful Sophia Loren & Peter Sellars 'My Heart Goes Boom Buddy Boom' also known as 'Doctor I'm in Trouble' Come on guys I can hear you singing along. That's what the Spitfire does for me!! and Sophia Loren
