| 352nd Bluenoser Tales Some of you know that I was not able to attend the Gathering of Mustangs in Ohio: gallbladder removal. So, I was not able to get my book signed. I emailed "Punchy" Powell. He is goiong to send me a signature to affix to my book. (Postage each way was a bit much.) The book is absolutely outstanding--excellent pictures and tales, of course. He wrote: Jim: Sorry that you missed such a great event and that we were unable to meet. However, it will be my pleasure to send you my signature for your book. I will try to get it in the mail today or tomorrow. If any of your aviation friends see your book and want one, just tell them to contact me. blue skies, punchy So there you have it, Mustang/352nd fans. The book is available. Dux | ||||||||||||||

| Re: 352nd Bluenoser Tales I met "Punchy" twice, once at their hotel and once at the airshow. Seemed like a great guy, very humble. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: 352nd Bluenoser Tales Hey Dux, sorry you missed the show but glad to hear you've mended up! I was at GML but with all the action it was tough to find time to stand in the lines at the veteran tents, even if I had the 352nd book in hand which I didn't. I'd like to get a copy though - can you post or PM the address please? Thx - No4 | ||||||||||||||

| Re: 352nd Bluenoser Tales Hey Duxford I am glad you are over the op and I hope fully back up to speed again. Well folks I am a lucky guy, good ol Captain Ed went out and got me the book and had it signed by Punchy Powell. Big thank you once again Captain. What a good book it is too, you just have to sit back and marvel at what those boys did. Its a gripping stuff and sometimes its hard hitting reality of what those boys went through is something truely amazing and at times very shocking. Those young men never flinched at all they just went straight in and at em! If you can, get this book, you wont regret it. | ||||||||||||||
