Flaps, why are Easy Models "Crap?" Is it because they are lightweight plastic v. zinc, or because they produce inaccurate liveries. I own a few and, where possible, I always judge them against a comparable model done in zinc. Believe it or not, and I suspect you won't believe it, many Easy Model liveries are more accurate and there are a lot fewer Grand Canyon seams on their issues than you find on issues from "top-of-the-line" diecast producers. Think about who produces Easy Models for a minute. Now consider the quality of MRC's plastic kits. Now put the two together. Presto chango, a seamless, very accurate livery, and inexpensive model of a plane that no other manufacturer produces. I realize that this is a forum for diecast collectors; however, until Corgi, Dragon, Hobby Master, Century Wings, et al, produce an equivalent model, I think calling Easy Model issues "CRAP" is really jumping the shark. Personally, I'm glad they produce models of WW II aircraft that others don't or won't. ![]() PS What does "heft" have to do with accuracy? | ||||||||||||||

| Re: WW II 1:72 Scale Planes Not Done Yet Slightly off topic but I just saw a few of the new Easy Models H-34 helicopters at my LHS the other day and thought they looked fantastic..Quite nicely detailed..If only they would have had the U.S. Marines one, it would be mine now...I don't mind if they're light weight. That'll help keep the shelves from sagging. | |||||||||||||
