A mate & I went to Modelzone in Bluewater, a few years back, as they were knocking out Revell/Dragon Ju.88 A.4 (Kits) in 1/48th scale, for a tenner each
Both of us went to the till, loaded, & some Jap' guy in front, & was buying 2902 (Jacobs), the second (& easily) the most sought after version (Route 272, to East-Ham)
So totally blown away by it, I enquired how much - he said it was £ 100 new, on special order - so I vowed I'd get one - not knowing (just) how limited the run is/was.
Well, 4 - 5 years later, & I've ended up with 7 so far (7 that will no doubt increase, as they're bringing out a Wartime R.T. (lust) ! | I have been hooked by the pre war Regent too Hornchurch & I can see at least another 6 variants of the model heading for a cabinet near me in the next couple of years, then of course there is the single deck 1:24 bus from Gilbow which I feel certain will be the RF |
