Re: World Series

Hey the game was on TV over here. I have red eyes and battle fatigue after staying up to watch it.

I never doubted what the result would be.

Those guys really believed they could and would win, as any sports player will know, thats half the battle.

I hope the TV people will show next seasons games over here, in the meantime I must get a book on the rules so I can figure out this pitching stuff.
I am still unsure as to what is the zone to pitch into and what is wide or out if you follow me.

God Bless America.

Re: World Series

I agree to keep Lowell....A-Rod is a not worth it....

I'm not an a-rod fan, but didn't he originally play shortstop -- they could, in theory, sign him and play him there (getting rid of Lugo... who at least starting hitting better as the post seaon went on, and I do like)...

But I'd rather they let someone else put up with his upkeep.... and I absolutely want them to hold onto Mike (boy did he get himself a nice raise the the MVP)

Whoop -- Red Sox! (Now lets get another one--unless the cubbies want to win one next year, that is... I don't want to be too greedy)

(Actually, I am a died-in-the-wool Red Sox fan so to speak so my motto every year is still "Anyone but the Yankees, please!")

Looks like they are fighting over that last blue token for the last silver Halifax available.

Although I really like the explanations of jim and mike, the photo is from the 2004 season and this link explains.

I would also like to add - Just how classless was it of A-Rod and his agent to crash last night's WS game with their announcement the way they did?...Couldn't have waited til it was over...Clowns...

Re: World Series

NO A-ROD!!....I've already started the campaign and will be sending in my contribution to John Henry to sweeten the pot to keep Mike Lowell..He's my favorite player and it would be a real tragedy to lose him (I couldn't handle it if he ended up with The Evil Empire, of all places )

A-ROD -----Any place but Boston!

Lowell-----No place but Boston!

Now I'm going to go dance with Papelbon and Beckett....

I have that photo framed in my office....

Have fun with my favorite band, the Dropkick Murphys at the party, Skunky! I wish I could be there.... all those years of crap from my friends and now we have two in 5 years. Now, if only my hometown boys the Royals can right the ship I'll be in baseball bliss!
