Re: World Series

I think the Rockies are going to start out really strong. They are very well rested, after all.

Very well rested indeed....Maybe someone should wake them up for tonight's game...

Re: World Series

Last night's game was wicked bettah (how's that, Rush?)....I'm glad Colorado showed up to play.
I think Saturday night could be tough. I don't have a great deal of confidence in Dice-K......especially since he's going to have to hit..I hope Francona keeps him on a short lease.....at least Beckett can hit the ball too.

that's one thing I've never uderstood -- why 99.9 percent of pitchers are such crap hitters in the bigs... I mean, through high school (where my playing "career" ended) most pitchers were also usually the team sluggers, and the pitchers could hit at the college I attended, too (don't watch college ball any more).

You would think, at least in the NL, pitchers would practice the art of hitting, too... and score millions more in contracts.

Dice-K was solid in his last outing... hopefully he will be again.

Re: World Series

I was in Boston on the night of the game, it seems the whole city was gripped by the excitement.
With my limited knowledge I reckon Boston are on a roll and their lucks in, so we shall see what happens.

I have to admit that during my time in the "colonies" that I got totally hooked on American football.
I did have trouble seeing where the ball was half the time, once the move starts its so quick you can loose track in the blink of an eye.
"AND" those boys dont take any prisoners. I just cringed at some of those tackles, "OUCH".

God Bless America.

Re: World Series

Colorado takes this in 5 games. They've won 21 of the past 22 going into the series and are really going to surprise Boston fans.

Oh, wait, nevermind.
