I didn't bother pointing that out assuming he would realize the downside of taking that course of action. But SmartD is correct and that is something to keep in mind as a very real possibility.

All in all, I would suggest that you smooze your IT people into allowing you to access this web site rather than going over to the "Dark Side." Cases of highly caffeinated drinks and snack foods always help grease the wheels in getting IT personnel to see things your way. You also have the benefit of keeping your job which helps pay for more die cast.

I am in the UK, but I work for a US company. The IT department has our PC's locked down so tight, we cant actually use them to do the jobs we need them to do.

So what have we done ?........ we have gone to the local PC shop and purchased out own laptops, so we can do the job.
