Re: Favorite Restaurants ( a multipart question )

My Favorites:

Redstone Grille - Eden Prarie, MN
Modern Grill - St. Paul, MN (dive joint but great pot roast!)
J Alexander's (various)
Prickly Pear - Ann Arbor, MI
Gandy Dancer - Ann Arbor, MI
Annie Gunn's - Chesterfield, MO

and for dessert...

Coldstone Creamery (once in a while - too rich and fattening)
Dairy Queen
Fritz's frozen custard (MO, IL)

Audentes Fortuna Juvat - Fortune Favors the Bold - USAF 366th Wing Motto

Re: Favorite Resturaunts ( a multipart question )

For burgers got to be In-N-Out. Double Double please!

I'll second that! Animal style, please!

Also Old Crow's mention of Zankou Chicken. Zero atmosphere, great chicken and addictive garlic... stuff. (Not quite sauce, more like a... paste? Addictive, anyway.)

Best pizza: Woodstock's Pizza, Davis, Calif. (Locations also in Chico, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and San Diego, Calif., and Corvallis, Ore.). Get the whole-wheat crust.

Locally, Hugo's Restaurant (in Studio City and West Hollywood, Calif.) Something for everyone. If only they had a full bar...

Hey, anybody remember Stuckey's? At one time was the best source for a good Pecan Log.

Re: Favorite Restaurants ( a multipart question )

Hey, anybody remember Stuckey's? At one time was the best source for a good Pecan Log.

I do remember Stuckey's. How old does one have to be to remember them? My wife (who led a sheltered life out in the woods)
has no idea what Stuckey's was. There is an old boarded up one on I-75 in the northern part of Lower Michigan. I get a tear in
my eye when I pass by it, and my wife laughs. I tell her it was the McDonald's of the 60's.

Larz.

Re: Favorite Restaurants ( a multipart question )

Yeah, I remember Stuckey's..the last one I stopped at was somewhere around Salina, Kansas on I-35 sometime around 1995. As I remember there were even pecan logs in the mens' room.
