| I would like to say Hello to all, It's been a while since I been on, I had to get my health issues straightened out, lost 60 pds and getting myself in to semi decent shape, To quote Jerry Garcia " If I had known I would have lived this long, I would have taken better care of myself". Back to the topic, I always thought it would be an earthquake that would do in my collection living here in Fallbrook, Ca, . But due to recent developments I have been notified that the town is under manditory evacuation because of a fast moving brushfire so I'm getting my most important things together and I've decided to take one of my planes. It has come down to either Strawberry Bitch or the Avro Lancaster Rhodesia. So I pose the question if you had to leave and could only take one plane in your collection would it be? THIS REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to pick one. I don't have either, but I would take the Lancaster. I believe ( I may be mistaken) Lancs command a higher price to replace. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to pick one. Sorry to hear of your predicament and there's no way you can take both huh??? I think I'd go for the Lanc. as it is a little more unique and has a better resale value.. My opinion..... ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five. | |||||||||||||||

| I've over 200 die cast issues and I like most them, otherwise why buy the things. However, assuming the flames were licking at my back 40, I'd grab the FM 1:48 "Lt. JG. J. Leppa SBD-3 Dauntless and scoot. When I think of the SBD Dauntless I think of the Battle of Midway and the turning point of the war in the Pacific. A great aircraft flown and crewed by great men. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to pick one. Just got off the phone with my brother who lives in Southern California. He's got three inches of ash all over his car, house and pool. What a mess! As for the planes, I'd take the B-24 by just a hair over the Lanc, however, if you mean any plane, I'd probably grab my Carousel 1 FW-190D. Glad you are better. Good luck. | ||||||||||||||

| The question is not whether you'd take the Strawberry Bitch or the Avro Lancaster, neither of which I own, but of the die casts you own, which one would you choose if forced to pick one. NOTE: careful reading on this site is required. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to pick one. I'd take my GA Princess Elizabeth. I bought it after discovering my late grandfather gave to the AAM Duxford. So that means the most to me. After that its my firearms. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to pick one. I would have to pick my McKnight Hurricane as I am a Hurri fan and because it is a Canadian plane but also because it is one of first and still one of myfavorites in my collection. Tough one though as I also have the SB and a Lanc and the are beautiful Birds. Hope everything goes well for you LzyBns stay safe. | ||||||||||||||
