Re: If you had to pick one.

Very relieved to here everything is OK for you Eddie. The British TV and newspapers have been reporting the events and showing the scenes out there.
It looked very frighting I found it hard to believe how fierce those fires are. I hope now the wind has dropped the fires can be brought under control.

God Bless America.

Re: If you had to pick one.

Shaft all of the diecast, Eddie. Get out and be safe my friend. I've missed you on the site and didn't send you a note after the KC - SD game because I hadn't seen you in awhile. Nice resurgence by your boys - we'll meet soon.

If you lose ANYTHING in the fire let me know. I'd be more than happy to give you some of mine.

Take care-

Eric

Smile Re: If you had to pick one.

Glad to hear that you are safe and your property intact. Seen some of the drama on TV. Had I been in your shoes I would undoubtedly take the Lanc. My first Big Bird. Missed SB on auction. How come some of you figure this one is easy to find? If I had to take just one, it would be my recently acquired 1/32 Grumpy Spit. That said I'd probably have squeezed in a few more.

Re: If you had to pick one.

There's no place like home. Other than an inch of ash on my balconey all is okay....... The devastation is incredible. But one on the most spetacular events was watching a post WW2 Martin Mars water drop plane. Its a BIG 4 radial engine boat plane from Canada. When it flew over the house I was staying at it felt like an earthquake. It lands on the water and siphons up 7200 gallons of water and the drop will cover 3 acres. And if anyone here or a relative who is a firefighter, please thank them from us in Fallbrook, I saw trucks from all over California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.

Thank You all for your hope and prayers. Eddie

this is a link to the Martin Mars............Incredible plane...http://www.martinmars.com/

Glad all is OK with you.
