CWH Lancaster & Dambuster movie

Just returned from a function at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, (they do weddings, conventions, company events etc.)
Got full inside tour of Mynarski Lanc for first time. (Free)

Lanc will be heading to England next Spring to be part of the new Dambuster movie. Folks here quite looking forward to going. They expect to be over there for 3 months, so our UK members should be in for a treat. They are hoping to fly with the BBMF Lanc at shows while over there,.... That would be a great sight.

Wandered around with my camera for a couple of hours ....kinda cool. Have not spent much time there since my days as a member in the 80's and 90's.

Next spring? From the scuttlebutt I've heard, I thought that movie was to be released next spring (or so), not still in production. Delays, delays, delays. Speaking of delays -- where is the first batch of 3 Halifaxes??

That CWH facility sure is impressive, isn't it?

Hi Smartd, I'm presuming that's been confirmed in writing somewhere, & (hopefully) not just a rumour that's been circulating round ?

That would be supreme !!!!!!!!

I remember seeing 2 x B.17's together over the Suffolk coastline during the '89/'90 season - they were obviously on they're way to (RAF) Binbrook, in Lincolnshire (further up the North-Sea-Coast), where the filming of (David Puttnam's) 'Memphis-Belle' took place.......

....yet ONE Lancaster makes more noise than 2 x B.17's put together !!!!!!!!!!!!

The sound (& sight) of those two Lancasters together would be 'Awesome' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
