If anyone goes to P-cola to see the National Museum of Naval Aviation, it is worth a side trip to Mobile to see the old girl, and the USS Drum (a WWII sub).

Last time I was there they also had a really neat air park with lots of interesting aircraft including a Sabre dog

Funny thing about the USS Alabama: During Hurricane Ivan (I think it was Ivan) she actually moved a few inches out of her normal assigned spot. This may not sound like a big deal except that she's "parked" in a few tons of concrete. Unfortunately, a lot of the aircraft were damaged from the storm surge but I think have since been repaired. It's been A LONG time since I've been there, even though she's only about five hours away.
