Canadian Pricing

Just thought I'd ask, has anyone here in Canada noticed or heard of any decrease in prices, what with our new and improved dollar. Just curious since we have been kind of on the short end of the stick for quite a while.

Nothing yet, although my local store has just listed Century Wings at $59.99. He will be getting first shipment of them in next week.

I know most retailers have a lot of older merchandise that was purchased at the high dollar and are weary of decreasing prices as it makes it harder to sell the older stock and the dollar may decrease and than prices will go back up. Also some of the Vendors have not been giving discounts for the same reasons.

I personally work on a set margin, so my prices fluctuate based on my cost, but I have more flexability than most retail stores.

Re: Canadian Pricing

Have not noticed it locally in stores, but its nice on E-Bay with the dollar right now. Picked off a 1/32 Mossie and the price in Canadian dollars was LOWER than in American. Don't have to figure out exchange rate anymore to see if its a deal or not.

Before the upsurge of the Loonie, there was a Canadian dealer who converted his prices to American dollars on his latest stock. I did'nt deem that appropiate. Haven't seen a correction on the site that reflects change. At the moment he has it both ways. I'II just concentrate my purchases south of the border until further notice. A word to the dealer. you don't charge American prices to your customers in Canada.

Yeah, I saw him do that also. had a chuckle and figure he has lost my business and any other Canadian. Maybe most of his sales are in the U.S.
